Trump has welcomed two more people in his cabinet – the names who will be joining his team surely are a big surprise.
He announced that Wilbur Ross and Todd Ricketts are nominated as secretary and deputy secretary of commerce, shortly after he chose Steve Mnuchin to be treasury secretary.
In his Facebook statement, Trump explained his decision.
“Wilbur Ross is a champion of American manufacturing and knows how to help companies succeed. Most importantly, he is one of the greatest negotiators I have ever met, and that comes from me, the author of ‘The Art of the Deal’”, he said about the billionaire investor.
He also said a few words about Ricketts, a co-owner of the 2016 World Series champion Chicago Cubs. Trump described him as “an immensely successful businessman with unparalleled knowledge of the finance industry.”
“As Deputy Commerce Secretary he will help us cut waste and streamline government so that it works for the people of America,” Trump stated, elaborating his choice and praising “the incredible job he and the Ricketts family did in the purchase and turnaround of the Cubs.”
And last but not least, a new name is being mentioned for the position of Secretary for Veteran’s Affairs – Sarah Palin. Will she be the next one who will join Team Trump – we will see.
