When he still thought he had the right to do and say anything, Barack Obama mocked Trump’s attempts to save the jobs of the Carrier Corp. employees. The company announced that they would transfer the production from Indiana to Mexico, thus causing hundreds of people to lose their job and Obama’s comment was that it’s part of a trend and there’s nothing that can be done about it.

Donald Trump tried to save the jobs of the hopeless employees by threatening Carrier that he would impose taxes on products made in Mexico and sold by Carrier in the United States if he becomes president.

Back in June when President Obama was in Indianapolis and was asked by Carrier employee Eric Cottonham about his and the future of the other Carrier employees. He asked: “What can we look forward to in the future as far as jobs, employment, whatever? Because all of our jobs have left or in the process of leaving, sir.”

Obama’s response was ridiculous and even offending. He said: “We’ve seen more manufacturing jobs created since I’ve been president than anytime since the 1990ss”, to which he added: “even though we’re making the same amount of stuff in our manufacturing sector, we’re employing fewer people.”

What? That’s not even a response to the question. It’s not even a suggestion, an offer or at least a comforting advice.

Obama then talked about the jobs in Mexico, saying that those jobs heading to Mexico will never again be part of the American economic landscape.

“What we have to do is to make sure that folks are trained for the jobs that are coming in now because some of those jobs of the past are just not going to come back,” he said.

After that he commented Trump’s statement about bringing jobs back to America.

” … when somebody says, like the person you just mentioned who I’m not going to advertise for, that he’s going to bring all these jobs back, well how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There’s — there’s no answer to it,” Obama said.
