Texas Sen. Ted Cruz introduced two bills that will classify two organizations as terrorist groups. It will include the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood – the organization with close ties to top Hillary Clinton adviser Huma Abedin and Muslim advocacy group the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
The series of bills will also target the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“I am proud to reintroduce these bills that would codify needed reforms in America’s war against radical Islamic terrorism,” Sen. Cruz said.
“This potent threat to our civilization has intensified under the Obama administration due to the willful blindness of politically-correct policies that hamper our safety and security. A grand détente with the Muslim Brotherhood and a blind eye to the IRGC are not pathways to peace in this struggle; they guarantee the ultimate success of our enemy.”
“It is time to call this enemy by its name and speak with clarity and moral authority,” he added.
Republican congressional candidate Kenneth R. Timmerman last August confirmed Abedin’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Reportedly, her mother sat on the board of the International Islamic Council for Da’wa and Relief, which is headed by the chief of the Muslim Brotherhood organization.
This may not prove that Huma Abedin is a terrorist, but it surely confirms her ties to a terrorist organization.
There’s an excerpt from a Muslim Brotherhood document discovered by American authorities which was included in Cruz’s statement: “The process of settlement is a Civilization-Jihad process…The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers.”
Back in 2012, then-Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota proposed an investigation into Abedin’s Muslim Brotherhood ties. However, it was obstructed by none other than Sen. John McCain, who called them “a few unspecified and unsubstantiated associations.”
The truth is that the accusations were neither unspecified nor unsubstantiated. It was no secret that Abedin does have familial ties to the Muslim Brotherhood (as well as a Shariah law journal, the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, run by her father to “establish a global Shariah in our modern times”), reports Conservative Tribune.
That only should be enough to classify her as ‘being part of a terrorist organization’.
