Illegal immigrants have just received some very bad news this week when the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, John Kelly, authorized the hiring of 10,000 more agents at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and enforcement officers.
This step marked that Donald Trump is working on increasing the enforcement and to deport illegal immigrants out of the States, just as he has promised in the campaign.
The process of hiring the 10,000 agents instantly started as Kelly ordered the DHS director to begin with it. He has also reported to the agency to hire more operational and mission support staff, right along with legal staff.
Additionally, Kelly described that the memo implements Trump’s executive order “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States,” from January 25. This comes after ICE agents gathered together and arrested over 600 illegal immigrants in 11 states this month, reports Mr. Conservative.
“Of those [680 aliens] arrested, approximately 75 percent were criminal aliens, convicted of crimes including, but not limited to, homicide, aggravated sexual abuse, sexual assault of a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a child, indecent liberties with a minor, drug trafficking, battery, assault, DUI and weapons charges,” claimed Kelly .
The additional 10,000 agents will help the DHS for more efficient missions of enforcing immigration laws inside the country.
