On Friday, Donald Trump made his way to Central Florida to attend an event at the St. Andrew Catholic School that is promoting school choice. Alongside the president was also a person that you might not have expected.
Wonder of all wonders, Senator Marco Rubio accompanied Trump on his excursion to visit the school in question.

The Air Force One also got to transport Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and their children. When they arrived in Florida, the state’s Gov. Rick Scott was on the tarmac to meet them. Unfortunately, they were also greeted by some protesters.
The state’s Governor, Rick Scott was the first to welcome the guests of honor upon landing. However, as all things go, some protesters were also present at the event.

It is unusual to learn that Rubio traveled with Trump since he was his fierce rival in the Republican primaries. Rubio also didn’t mind mocking the president about his small hands and spraying tan. Still, the two have a strong interest in improving the school system, so they managed to find common grounds.
In his Congress speech onTuesday, Trump spoke about the importance of schools and expressed his support for charter schools and vouchers.
“I am calling upon members of both parties to pass an education bill that funds school choice for disadvantaged youth, including millions of African-American and Latino children. These families should be free to choose the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school that is right for them,” Trump said.
What do you think about Rubio coming to Trump’s scheduled event?
