The White House just got happier, after First Lady Melania Trump organized a lunching event in the State Dining Room on Wednesday.
The occasion? Celebrating International Women’s Day, of course.
Melania Trump was greeted by around 50 women, while looking all elegant and smiling. Vice President Mike Pence’s wife Karen Pence, Kellyanne Conway, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Sen. Susan Collins, Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon and Ivanka Trump all attended the event and clapped in joy.
Certain liberal women decided to take a different turn on this day, and engaged into a so-called strike.
At the same time, President Donald Trump took the time to support all women on his Twitter account. After his tweet, Ivanka Trump’s salute followed.
On International Women's Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world.

Today, we celebrate women and are reminded of our collective voice and the powerful impact we have on our societies and economies. #IWD2017
