During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised that he would crack down on illegal immigration. Now, he is following through that promise.

After raiding four towns, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested 53 illegal aliens living in Kentucky. The undocumented immigrants were arrested last month in Louisville, Lexington, Shelbyville, and Owensboro. 22 of them were convicted criminals who had been charged with DUI, burglary, drug possession, theft, and wanton endangerment.

Eleven of those arrested had returned to the country illegally after being deported once. The vast majority of the newly-arrested aliens were from Guatemala and Mexico.

The ICE agency said the arrests made in Kentucky were the result of targeted enforcement operations across the nation being done regularly.

This comes days after a 19 year-old illegal alien from Guatemala was arrested for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl who lived in the same house with him in Stamford, Connecticut. He was arrested one day before he was due to appear at an immigration hearing.

According to the police, the victim’s mother called 911 at 10:30 on Wednesday night after the child complained of pain and said Douglas Hus-Flores had touched her.

“She says ‘Douglas hit me.’ I asked where, and she showed me her private parts,” the mother explained. “I feel like hot water in my body.”

The toddler was immediately taken to Stamford Hospital for injuries and bleeding she had suffered, where doctors confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted.

Hus-Flores, who had been alone in the home with the girl at the time of the attack, claimed he heard her crying and gave her yogurt to calm her down, reports Truth Monitor. He said he then sat her on his lap so they could watch cartoons, at which time he “felt lonely and wanted to be with a woman.” The illegal alien then admitted to sexually assaulting the 3 year-old, but said he stopped when he realized what was happening.

He faced charges over first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
