Dog The Bounty Hunter, Duane Chapman and his wife Beth Chapman have been lobbying against a George Soros-backed bill that would abolish the current cash bail system for most defendants in the state.
As The New Right reports, the California Money Bail Reform Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 10 (SB 10), is co-sponsored by several so-called “criminal justice reform” groups that are funded by billionaire Soros’ international grantmaking network.
“I think that the legislators…have been duped.”
“The criminal element of our community is laughing at them and thinking, ‘how stupid are these people to let all of us run free?’”
Beth said during a press conference held last week.
Beth gained fame when she starred on the reality television series “Dog The Bounty Hunter”. Now, she is the president of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States, and represents 15,000 bondsmen.
Soros has been supporting the campaign to eliminate money bail as part of a broad reform strategy.
“This bill is part of a national movement, a recognition that the way we have been handling pretrial processes in California and across the country is not fair or just.”
“Whether you can go free before a trial is determined by the size of your wallet and not the size of your public safety risk, and that’s not the way it should be.”
Stated Senator Bob Hertzberg (D-Van Nuys), who co-authored SB 10.
But, Dog The Bounty Hunter doubts that California will fall for this nonsense.
“I know California will not be duped into this ‘hug a thug’ program.”
“We’re all into rehabilitation. Get the guy out and make him change his life; not hope he will.”
Said ‘Dog’ Chapman.
