George Soros is a very wealthy liberal donor, who is known for using his fortune to fund Black Lives Matter protests, anti-Trump riots and to try to buy district attorney seats.
Recently, the watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a FOIA request to the State Department, with which they wanted to get to the bottom of allegations that Soros is using his wealth to cause political disruption overseas via government programs.
After they didn’t get a response from the State Department, Judicial Watch announced their lawsuit against USAID and the State Department for refusing to answer FOIA requests “for records relating to their funding of the political activities of the Soros Open Society Foundation – Albania.”
After the initial FOIA request was sent, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson wanted to start an investigation into “the relations between USAID and the Soros Foundations and how U.S. tax dollars are being used by the State Department and the USAID to support left-of-center political groups who seek to impose left-leaning policies…”
The mainstream news outlets didn’t report that Soros was under investigation for leaked 2011 emails that revealed he personally advised then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on “intervention in Albania’s political unrest.” Instead of telling the truth about what happened, they tried to concealed the leaked Soros emails.
Soros has been accused of many more things than just the emails. There is suspicion that he might have even influenced the Clinton State Department. Between the years 2002 and 2012, it’s been said that USAID, the State Department and other agencies donated more than $364 million to the liberal Soros-funded Internews Network.
