Nowadays we face with tons of horrible news. That’s why we think it is a good opportunity to report on something positive.
The First family is having a new member! A nine-week-old poodle and golden retriever mix — a designer breed known as a Goldendoodle, will be bringing joy to Barron Trump and the rest of the Trump family! The mix is courtesy of philanthropist and animal welfare advocate Lois Pope.
The adorable puppy bears the name of the WWII general Trump admires – Patton.
As CBS News reports, on Thanksgiving Pope took a cell phone photo of Patton and showed it to Trump. She predicts that this little fella is “gonna be yuge!”

When he found out that Patton was the offspring of U.S. military service dogs, he declared Patton to be a “hero dog” to his wife Melania.
“He is not a ‘hero dog,’ but he comes from a lineage of hero dogs, dogs who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Pope told CBS News.
Then Trump asked Pope to show the photo to his 10-year-old son Barron — the final arbiter.
“I’m sure he’ll want it,” he told her.
Trump was right:
“I’d never seen such a big smile on anyone’s face. It’s worth all this time and the trouble and effort putting into this for [Barron],” Pope recalled.
As the 150-year-old tradition dictates, every First family has its First dog. Truth to be told, Barron was the primary reason Pope was pushing the president-elect.
“He’s going to be a perfect dog for Barron. He’s the one that I’m really doing this for. That’s going to be quite a transition for him. He’s only 10 years old and his dad is going to be the leader of the free world,” Pope said.
