A newly-elected Australian senator’s statement has been making headlines for a few days.
According to Pauline Hanson, founder and leader of the One Nation Party, the Parliament doesn’t have the right attitude towards Sharia Law and immigrants who will not assimilate.
She has said that Australia is “in danger of being swamped by Muslims” and believes that the result of this will be people “living under Sharia Law”.
Even though many called her “alarmist” and racist,” in reality she’s not far from the truth. As the Muslim population in Australia rises, there is a bigger chance that Sharia Law will be implemented to some extent. All Muslims have to do is win seats in Parliament and then vote in aspects of Sharia.
This is part of her statement:
“If it would be of any help, I’ll take you to the airport and wave you goodbye with sincere best wishes. Our leaders continue to tell us to be tolerant and to embrace the good Muslims. But how should we tell the difference? There is no sign saying ‘good Muslim’ or ‘bad Muslim’. How many lives will be lost or destroyed trying to determine who is good and who is bad?”
The Australian Herald Sun reported this about her latest statement:
“When Hanson gave her maiden speech in the House of Representatives 20 years and four days ago, Liberals boycotted it. This time they do not dare. Hanson is too powerful, with her four Senate votes and huge popularity – not to mention her scars.
Turnbull’s nightmare has a new chapter. How can he repudiate what she says, other than to say it is not wise to say what in many respects is either the truth or the sentiment of so many Australians, most of them too scared until now to say so?”
