Last week, the mainstream media was delighted to report that the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities had resigned in mass protest over President Donald Trump’s “racist” comments on the Charlottesville riots. But, they forgot to report about one crucial part of the story.
The mainstream media refused to reports that this committee was created by Barack Obama, and it had not even met this year. So, the members of the committee were all liberals who despise Trump and were just waiting for any excuse they could use to humiliate him.
According to reports by CNN, actor Kal Penn tweeted out the resignation letter he and the other group members signed. The letter read:
“Reproach and censure in the strongest possible terms are necessary following your support of the hate groups and terrorists who killed and injured fellow Americans in Charlottesville. The false equivalencies you push cannot stand. The Administration’s refusal to quickly and unequivocally condemn the cancer of hatred only further emboldens those who wish America ill. We cannot sit idly by, the way that your West Wing advisors have, without speaking out against your words and actions.”

The committee members went on to bash Trump’s policies, saying they threaten to diminish civil rights, damage the environment, cut funding to arts and risk the overall safety of the country. The letter continues:
“Speaking truth to power is never easy, Mr. President. But it is our role as commissioners on the PCAH to do so. Art is about inclusion.”
