Watch: Crowd Goes Wild After Trump Says 4 Words And Reaches for a Texan Flag

Texas just proved that it is a proud conservative state by its enthusiastic response to the President’s arrival on Tuesday.

Both the President and the First Lady arrived in storm-ravaged Corpus Christi to meet with first responders who were dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

While on the way to the Annaville Fire Department for a briefing on the area’s rescue efforts, hundreds of Texans occupied the roads to welcome Trump.

As Trump arrived, people were chanting “USA!,” “Texas for Trump,” “Texas Strong,” and “We Love Trump!” A photo of the crowd showed Texans lined up so far down the road that they filled the entire picture:

President Trump climbed onto a ladder to address the crows. While waving the Texas state flag, he said four words that made everyone go wild.

“Texas can handle anything!” the President declared.

Trump has made a strong effort to stay in the loop about the hurricane preparations and response efforts, reports Conservative Tribune. He posted numerous updates on Twitter as he and the First Lady monitored the storm from Camp David. The President also promised to visit the affected areas as soon as possible.

During all this time, he was reportedly in close contact with Texas officials, including Governor Abbott, former Governor Rick Perry and Senator Ted Cruz.

“[The president] told me directly whatever Texas needs, you got it,” Cruz stated.

If we had someone else as the president, he would probably say a few words on camera, and then do nothing to actually help Texas. But not President Trump.

Instead, Trump showed real leadership by flying to the disaster area in person. He knew what he had to do, and his arrival was a great morale boost to residents and emergency workers. It was something that Texas desperately needed.
