Josh Groban is not just another singer. He is much more than that – he’s also a man of God. The four-time Grammy nominated singer has been blesses with fame, success and influence – and he’s never let any of that get to his head.
Instead of caving under the pressure of Hollywood and the demands of the music industry, Josh has been able to maintain a clear mind and keep his faith.
Josh was born on February 27, 1981 to Lindy and Jack Groban.
He was introverted, so he turned to music as an safe haven from bullies and isolation.
“My school life was very much a wandering experience,” he explained. “I was having trouble in school and I was not making a lot of friends. So coming home and actually improvising on the piano and just coming up with melodies was an escape for me.”
When Josh was in seventh grade he performed on stage alone for the first time. With a newfound love for singing, the teen auditioned for roles in school musicals during the academic year and attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts Camp in Michigan in the summers.
Josh had no idea that he was slowly sculpting the talented artist he would become decades later. And through all that time, faith was always part of his life.
That’s why he didn’t hold back from sticking up for his beliefs when he was asked onto the Jenny McCarthy show.
Josh took one look at the list of questions Jenny prepared for him and knew that the interview wasn’t right for him.
Instead of answering them, Josh walked off the set and left the interview.
The religious superstar doesn’t need the attention from an outrageous interview to gain a bigger fan base, he just has to stay true to God.
Even though his lifestyle comes with some unconventional hurdles, Josh is willing to make it work no matter what, reports Faith Tap.
He explained that singing is, and will forever be, his true passion.
