This Tuesday, President Trump’s Justice Department made a very important announcement. They revealed that they will be ending DACA by rolling out a termination plan that gives Congress a 6-month window to come up with legislation that resolves the Obama-era immigration program once and for all.
Almost immediately after the announcement was made, Twitter users starter getting really angry with Hollywood stars, media figures and politicians, who defended the child that will now fall victim to Trump’s DACA decision.
Mark Ruffalo wrote on Twitter:
“A cowardly act by a cruel, vindictive and heartless administration intent on tearing at the very fabric of the American dream.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said this in the press conference that happened this Tuesday:
“We are a people of compassion and we are a people of law. But there is nothing compassionate about the failure to enforce immigration laws.”
