Considering the filth that is Hollywood, we couldn’t be more thankful that there are still gems like Gary Sinise – one of the rarest kinds of Hollywood celebrities. When he’s not working on a movie or TV show, he works tirelessly to help and honor members of the U.S. Military and American veterans.
He has volunteered overseas and works with vets here at home, too. He is a vocal supporter of our troops and proud American. In other words, he’s the exact opposite of almost everyone else in Hollywood.
Now, he has been finally awarded a star on Hollywood’s walk of fame and he sure as hell deserves it.
The Department of Defense and the USO congratulated this accomplished and successful actor.

Playing Lt. Dan — a wounded combat veteran in “Forrest Gump”, Sinise has developed a deep relationship with wounded and disabled veterans all over the world.
In fact, following September 11, 2001, Sinise formed the Lt. Dan Band entertain American troops throughout the world.
He also founded the Gary Sinise Foundation that helps “defenders, veterans, first responders, and their families” by “creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities.”
Isn’t it nice to hear some good news out of Hollywood for a change?
Congratulations, Mr. Sinise and thank you for your dedication to our troops!
