Marriott International makes shocking announcement that has people ready to start a new protest. A Muslim activist group pressured the hotel into banning Act for America from holding the conference they had scheduled for Oct. 2 and 3 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia.

The Muslim Advocates stated that there “should be no room for hate at Marriott hotels,” but the hotel did indeed decide to go forward with the scheduled conference.

A Marriott spokesperson came forward with this announcement:

“We are a hospitality company that provides public accommodations and function space. Acceptance of business does not indicate support or endorsement of any group or individual.”

ACT for America is the nation’s largest non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots national security organization that stands for the protection of the United States of America and the Western values upon which our nation was built. Still, Muslims consider it to be a ‘hate group.’

As reported by 100 Percent Fed Up, Marriott CEO Arne Sorenson got a letter from the Muslim Advocates who demanded that he cancels the Crystal Gateway Marriott’s commitment to host the convention.

The advocates suggested that is would be hypocritical if the hotel works with an anti-Islam group at the same time they have a TV ad campaign that says they are committed to dignity for all people.

Scott Simpson, Muslim Advocates’ public advocacy director, stated:

“Hosting the nation’s largest anti-Muslim gathering … is clearly incompatible with the values of our nation, of Marriott’s customers, and of Marriott’s own stated commitment to inclusion.”
